For their new video for “Love Inc,” BOOKA SHADE find themselves collaborating once again with famed German director Thomas Hayo (“Sweet Lies”). Here we find the song–which appears on their upcoming fifth studio album EVE (Embassy One/Blaufield Music)–becoming a celebration of love by showcasing an endless montage of very close up, extremely intimate moments of people kissing.
The sensual video, shot in New York City, highlights people and kisses of the most varying kinds: young, old, black, white, Asian, lesbian, gay, hip, nerdy. The range goes from romantic and soft to very passionate and wild. Also mixed in are different kiss scenarios from other realities such as an animated cartoon kiss and vintage film footage.
BOOKA SHADE’s EVE will be released on November 1 digitally and November 5 physically. It features “Love Inc” amongst other tracks that were recorded at Manchester, U.K.’s acclaimed EVE Studios, a “residential vintage recording studio” where musicians can live and work with rare, old-school recording equipment around the clock, and then brought back to their studio in Berlin for the finishing touches. On the album BOOKA SHADE (Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier) are joined by special guests including such luminaries as Fritz Helder (Azari & III) who lends his vocals to “Love Drug,” as well as Groove Armada’s Andy Cato blasting his trombone while Fritz Kalkbrenner sings on “Crossing Borders.”
“Love Inc” is available at all digital retailers on October 18. Pre-order at iTunes here: http://bit.ly/1cSuo7L
